Veterans who seek to apply for a service dog from ConnorsK9-PAWS must be honorably discharged, they must have a diagnosed disability that the K9 can mitigate, and they have to complete the application packet.
Our dogs are provided to us through a variety of avenues including breeder donations & rescue dogs that meet our criteria for acceptance into the PAWS training program.
Each K9 that enters the PAWS program has a specific veteran in mind. We pride ourselves in a quality over quantity mindset. These dogs pass medical, temperament, training, and socialization before learning the skills needed for their veteran.
ConnorsK9-P.A.W.S. provides service dogs to a qualified veterans who suffer from the wounds of war with immense effort to supply these amazing assistance animals free of charge to our veteran clients.
All veterans will submit an application packet, write an essay as to why they want a service animal and how it will help them, go through an interview, home inspection, and background check prior to placement.
Our training methods have been proven to supply only the highest of quality service dogs capable of assisting their clients who suffer from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Traumatic Brain Injury, Mobility Difficulties, and more.
